I am going to Nepal this winter. I could go for 5 weeks in late Oct through Nov. I will mainly be in the Khumbu. I know it will be monsoon season no matter when I go, but of my possible time frames, which would be best and why. Any other pertinent advice regarding trekking during monsoon season would also be appreciated.

Heard that Amed is a laid back part of the coast? Any recommendations for a town to stay in on this stretch of the coast, or accommodation? Not too expensive, but I can spring for air con. I'd love to stay as close to a beach as possible.
Any other hints about staying in this area?

Hi everyone..
In a couple of weeks Ill be entering Nepal through the far western border from India and cycling along the south road before turning north to Kathmandu. I havent got a guide book so was hoping someone may be able to give some info. on the availability of accomodation and places of interest along the way and how hilly the road is. Once Im in Kathmandu Im ok. Any help with this route would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, My boyfriend and I are visiting Nepal on the 14th of Dec. We would like to see Sagarmatha national park, mount everest (low level trekk), lumbini and kathmandu valley. Is this possible to do in a week? Also can we drive to these places? Is it wise to organise a tour before going there or can we do it by ourselves when we get there?

Is it possible to get Taxis from Thamel to Gokarna ( Le meridian hotel) after night 10, is it safe to travel during that time?

What will be the average cost?

Do i need to pay extra charges for night trip or something that is similar to Indian cities.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Is there a prepaid taxi service outside the international terminal to hotels in Thamel? I've already booked my hotel.

I want to avoid the hassle of fighting off taxi drivers trying to get you to go to their hotels for a commission.

If there is such a service? How does it work? Where is it? How much would it costs?

Namaskar!
My friend came back from Nepal and gave me a packet of NEPALI MOUNTAIN PEPPER.
It has a lovely strong aroma. I tried to cook a bit of this powder with carrots and potatoes and the end result was interesting. The Mountain pepper had a numbing sensation on tongue and I felt a bit "dizzy" -

Could someone give me good advice as how to cook with Nepali Mountain Pepper?
Thank you in advance for any good information.
