EXPEDITION TO THE HOLY MOUNT KAILASH (17 Days) - One of the more famous yet still, least visited sites, Mt. Kailash in Tibet, is for those wishing to travel to see the unbelievable. In fact, in ancient Hindu, and Chinese scripts a legend of a sacred and holy mountain and lake, from which 4 of Asia's mightiest and life giving rivers flowed, populated the religious scripts. For the Victorian Era Western cartographers and explorers, this myth was simply that, a myth. It was not until 1908 when, Svan Hedin of Sweden journeyed to western Tibet, to indeed, find the sacred mountain, with a lake (Manasarovar), from which flowed four rivers, the Ganges, Indus, Sutlej & Brahmaputra. These rivers give life toeverything and everyone they come in contact with. Mt Kailash's four walls matchthe cardinal points of the compass and a swastika (a Buddhist symbol of spiritual strength) can be found in its natural rock formations contributing the religious significance of the mountain. This is your ticket to travel to see the famous mountain and be part of its geographic and cultural significance to the world.
